Itinerary:

Day 01: Ahmedabad – Jamnagar (By Surface)

Pick-up from Airport/Railway station or Hotel by TTC envoy, and proceed to Jamnagar. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Enjoy a laid-back evening and indulge yourself in shopping activities. Night stay in Jamnagar.

Day 02: Jamnagar – Dwarka (By Surface)

After you have had your relishing breakfast, make your headway to the city of Dwarka that goes beyond the historical timeline. Before you reach Dwarka, stop by the scenic beauty of the Lakhota Lake. Adjacent to the lake, awaits an impressive display of Gujarati folk arts, including wood carvings, metalwork and some wonderful embroidered textiles and more. Experience the cultural diversity of India, through the expressions depicted on the festival masks from around the country. To give a perfect finishing touch to the display, the museum also showcases an elephant skeleton. These bizarre spectacle around, may entice the trigger happy nature in you, but taking photographs are not allowed. Also, visit the Bala Hanumana Temple, famous for its perpetual Ram Dhun since 1956. As you reach the huly Dwarka, visit the divine temple of Dwarkadheesh, and take a holy dip in the River Gomti, before you embark upon the time travel to the days of Shiva Purana to discover the Shiva Lingam facing South. Be blessed by the spirit of Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, the first Jyotirlinga as mentioned in the Puranas and free life from all the poisons of the mortal world. Stop by the Yellow Clay of Gopi Talav, where 16000 Gopikas of Kirshna Vasudeva merged in the soil to remain with their beloved. Further, set your sail to Bet Dwarka, the small island, popularly known as the Kingdom of Lord Krishna. Travel back in time and experience the Kingdom of the ice age that flourished between 32,000 and 9000 years ago. While you visit the Rukmini Temple and other coastal area temples, don’t forget to be at the enchanted sight of the evening aarti at the Temple of the Dwarkadheesh. Night stay in Dwarka.

 Day 03: Dwarka – Porbandar - Somnath (By Surface)

After a soulful journey to the antiquity of India, on the third day, you will set for Porbandar, as you finish your breakfast. At Porbandar visit the abode of peace and truth, the Kirti Mandir– dedicated to the Father of the Nation, who taught us the way to the truth and obstinacy. In fact, this is the place, where the great soul was born. Later proceed to Somnath, through the old intricate carving gateway, called Junagadh Gate, from the nearest city of Veraval. Before you reach the Temple of Somnath, stop by the famous Krishna Temple of Prabhas Kshetra - Bhalka Tirth, where Krishna Vasudeva was mistakenly shot in the foot and the universe saw the death of an Avatara, for the first time. Visit the cycle of life – the birth, life, and death, the three stages that have been manifested by the meeting of the revered river of the antiquity, Saraswati with Kapil and Hiran, before they set for the final journey to the Arabian Sea. Day 04: Somnath – Diu (By Surface)

After the mystic and antique voyage of India, trace its colonial past at the eastern end of India-mainland. After your breakfast, set out explore the beach city of Diu, known for its fortress and Old Portuguese Cathedral, and the fishing town. Discover the curiously treated volutes and shell - like motifs and the magnificent wood carving of St. Paul's Church, considered to be the most elaborate of all the Portuguese churches in India. Enter the White Walled St. Thomas Church, a simple building that houses the Diu Museum, with spooky, redolent collection of old Catholic saint statues, remnants of a Jain temple, and a guesthouse upstairs around to the left. Relax in the languid evening by the sea with breeze to sooth your senses. Night stay in Diu.

Day 05: Diu – Sasan Gir (By Surface)

Enter into the last refuge of the Asiatic lion (Pantheraleopersica) – Sasan Gir – a hilly forest spread across 1412-sq-km. It is a sanctuary, halfway between Veraval and Junagarh. Deep in the woods of the reluctantly uncommercial Sasan Gir, even if you are simply driving through the thick woods of the undisturbed forest, you can be certain to have the thrill and excitement of being in the presence of the Gir Lions. If the weather condition permits, you can enjoy the iconic Gir Interpretation Zone at Devaliya. Sasan Gir has a large area of wetland that will offer you the privilege of Bird Watching. Enjoy the maximum of this deep wood with Gypsy Safari that will even take you to the remote corners of Gir. While, you are still in the woods of Gir, en route to Kamleshwar dam to pay a visit to the home to the crocodiles. Remember to have the permit, before you enter Sasan and Devaliya Park. Day 06: Sasan Gir - Ahmedabad (By Surface)

Proceed to the former capital and the largest city of Gujarat - Ahmedabad. As you reach the city, immerse in the fusion of faith, built in 1423 by Ahmed Shah. The wonder you will visit is known as the Jama Masjid, India’s one of the most beautiful mosques, enhanced amid its enormous peaceful courtyard. Notice the intricate display of architectural fusion with the lotus-like carving of some domes that are propped by 260 columns of the prayer hall, which often scream the dark side of this grand structure that had been erected on the demolished Hindu and Jain temples. However, your visit to the city will remain undone, if you do not feel the vibes in peaceful shady grounds on the Sabarmati River’s west bank, where one of the great souls of the nation meditated to conjure the strength of Indian Independence Movement through nonviolence. Visit this poignant, Spartan living quarters, which remained as Gandhiji’s headquarters from 1917 to 1930 during the long struggle for Indian independence. Night stay in Ahmedabad.

Day 07: Ahmedabad

At morning, TTC envoy will assist you in hotel checkout and transfer to the Railway station or Airport for your onward journey, with a bouquet of tantalizing experiences.
