Best of Lataguri Tourism With Rarest Of Jungle Safari Tours And Travel Packages 3N/4D

Lataguri travel packages to experience the rarest jungle safaris in the enchanted North Bengal

The great Himalayan range that started erecting about 10 million years ago, eventually, stretched out towards the wilderness of the rain forests of Eastern Himalayas. Amidst the colossal expansion, it unveils the less explored slops to the paradise, which slumbers in the deep woods of Dooars, meandering to tranquil Lataguri. A small town in the Jalpaiguri district of the state West Bengal located outside the Gorumara National Park on National Highway No. 31, mostly known for its blaring and bunged transport hub, the twin towns of Siliguri and Jalpaiguri, a jump-off point for the hill stations of Bengal, Nepal, and Bhutan. However, the place holds the license to the heartland of Terai - the Asiatic grassland and its thick morass of hypnotic Gorumara, the National Park, set at the foothills of the eastern fringe of mighty Himalayas.

As you will lose yourself in the calm calculus of the nature, it will further conceive you, where the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary harks, as the river Teasta, Murti and Neora flow silently. Preserved by the Imperial Forest Service Administrator, D.H.E. Sander, as national reserved forest, this wild habitat has evolved for last two centuries. In this mushy and murky wilderness, deepen your sense of freedom, as you stop by the roadside hotels beneath the green canopy, on the way to the pristine nature of Bengal, and transit axis to the cooler climbs. In this wilderness, where once grazed the One Horned Indian Rhinos throughout the vastness of the Gangetic Plains. Lataguri, harks in the limbo of pristine Dooars and Gorumara, awaits your footsteps amidst morass vegetation, lingering as it is.

Visit the heartland of Gorumara, Maasai Mara of West Bengal, where the iconic Asiatic Cheetah was last spotted in 1940s. Unlike most travelers, instead of simply spending a night-over for your onward trail, explore the most interesting market place, hidden beyond Hill Cart Road and begin your trail into the virgin forest ahead.

Have your breakfast at the gateway of the hypnotic woods, and make your way through the travel-beaten trails of the lush green forests of the foothill plains, into the freshness of the thick tea estates. While gaining elevation, climb against the rivers, flowing narrowly downwards, where the villages grew up circling the hilly tracks and countless slopes, from their tribal past. The journey in fusion, from plains, forests, rivers, villages, tea garden, and hills will put you in the comfort of a small hamlet in the Malbazar Subdivision of Jalpaiguri District, called Samsing. At an elevation of 3000 ft. Samsing is situated in the Eastern Himalayan foothills, separating the district border of Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling with its virgin beauty of nature. Be enraptured in the mystic viridescent of foggy and breezy rainfall on the high mountains, while you drive down to 950 to 650 mt. downhill to meet the thrush-like old world flycatchers and starling birds in the midst of the green cocoon by the orange stream. Suntalikhola will greet you in its picturesque world of serene villages. Explore its pristine nature and parks that dwell with its birds and butterflies, by the Suntaley or orange – Khola or stream, as the amiable Nepali inhabitants of this tea garden mean. If you are already in love with the life on wings, there is more for you – preserved - fresh spectacles of fowls, as you make your headway to Jhalong or Jhalang, a hill station village near Indo-Bhutan border, as the river Jaldhaka flows quietly to its next location Bindu. To conclude the day, astonish your senses to the call of wild, while the River Murti flows by, like a placid dream. After a day soaked in moral state of grace, come back to your hotel to relax and stay overnight.

Tumbling down from Chumbi Valley, at an altitude of 9,500 ft. crossing the historic silk route at Nathula and Jelep La Pass, the River Torsa covers a journey of 358 km to flow as a tranquil ravine, as it enters the vast grassland of the northern West Bengal. The infinite grassland of Terai, home of rare and endangered species beholds Jaldapara National Park, at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in Alipurduar District, West Bengal – the very destination and its activity that will revive senses. Set your foot into the traditional land of Toto tribes, else known as Totapara, spread across the banks of River Torsa, a perfect morass of vegetation to mingle in the endless thickness of the deep woods. Hemmed in by the natural canvas of Gorumara National Park, Buxa Tiger Reserve and Chilapata Forests, Jaldapara is connected by the ancestral elephant corridor through the riverine forests, where you can locate the dense population of one horned rhinos, once which used to trail through the Gangetic plains at its length. As you stray a little out towards Birpara, take the road turning left, to follow the streams of Buri Torsa and enter into the exquisite mysteries and dwellings of leopards in the heart of the green waves of Khairbari Natural Park.
