Venture into one of the largest volcanic landmasses in the world, spreading around 5,00,000 square kilometers in the west-central India for 6 nights and 7 days. Wander into the ancient wilderness that stretches back to a period between 67 and 66 million years ago. Many thousand layers of epochs have formed this primeval land from the volcanoes those were alive, but now vanquished in the hands of time. Itinerary

Day 1:

As you arrive in Bangalore, TTC envoy will assist you with transfer and check in to your hotel. After having your lunch, experience the city in the Indian Deep South that is popular for its cosmopolitan lifestyle. The place is blessed with a benevolent climate and a burgeoning drinking, dining and shopping scene. Though it is not a place with world-class sights, but along with its modern development, it has preserved its beautiful parks and Victorian-era architecture. Be amidst the nature in Lalbagh Garden, spread over a sprawling landscape of 240 acres. Experience the natural ambience in the garden built by the famous ruler of Mysore, Hyder Ali, which still dwells amazing century-old trees. Move to the heart of the city to visit the modern marvel, created by Kengal Hanumanthaiah in Neo-Dravidian style, the seat of Karnataka Government, Vidhan Saudha. Explore the Government Museum, which still dwells in the beautiful red colonial-era building of 1877. Dig into the dusty collection of 12th-century stone carvings and artefacts, excavated from Halebid, Hampi, and Attriampakham. Further, tread into the Venkatappa Art Gallery next door, which exhibit the works and personal memorabilia of K Venkatappa (1887–1962), court painter to the Wodeyars. Alas, visit the divine manifestation of Krishna Consciousness in its shiny temple, with lavish decoration of ultra-contemporary and traditional styles. The consciousness that once evoked the humble man of College Street, Calcutta, has touched millions of souls across the world, to erect the holy temple of Krishna and spread its consciousness – this is one amongst the millions, still lives the teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Return to your hotel, relax, and stay overnight.

Day 2:

As you step into the royal gateway of South India – Mysore, TTC envoy will be at your service to take you further in the city of Mysore. While you will spend your time in grandeur of the legacy of 600-years old, this ancient city will pave your way to its flamboyant past in Srirangapatna. Travel in the glittering royal heritage of Dariya Daulat Bagh, Gumbaz, Tippu Sultan Fort and the Vishnu Temple, where the mighty Tippu grew up. As you finish the heritage tour of the city, check in to the hotel for a peaceful afternoon siesta. Spend a magnetic evening in the Brindavan Garden, amidst the present cosmopolitan Mysore. Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day 3:

After breakfast, set out for a royal tour, clubbed with the scenic beauty of the place. Fascinate your senses in one of India’s grandest places – the former seat of Wodeyar Maharajas, the Mysore Palace. Have a good time to visiting the Jaganmohan Palace at the west flank of the place to spectacle the regal memorabilia of the royal family. Escalate your spirit at an elevation level of 1062m to seek grace in Sri Chamundeswari Temple that will greet you through its towering 40m entrance gateway. Don’t forget to visit the passive Big Bull, the Nandi. Have some time, to feel the beauty of the towering St Philomena’s Cathedral. Built between 1933 and 1941 in Neo-Gothic style, the church is bedecked with beautiful stained-glass windows, and is considered as the second largest church in Asia. Visit Mysore zoo, set in the finest gardens from 1892. The highlights that include are white tigers, lowland gorillas and rhinos. Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day 4:

After a historic day in Mysore, set out for a mystic trail to the higher grounds of the Deccan. As you finish your breakfast, TTC envoy will assist you to climb the heights of the greener and quitter Ooty, and check-in for a pleasant stay. After a delicious lunch, as you travel to the Ooty Lake through the tall pines, have the unmistakable senses of English country lanes. Through the combined ambience of the bustle and temple, mingle into the living gallery of the natural flora of the Nilgiris – Botanical Garden with a fossilized tree trunk believed to be around 20 million years old. Overnight stay at Ooty.

Day 5:

After breakfast, drive on to one of the three hill stations of Nilgiri – Coonoor, which sits high above the southern plains. Spend your day circling the slopes of Coonoor that covers an array of sightseeing. At the Upper Coonoor feel the better and breather in 12-hectare Sim’s Park, established in 1874. Amidst the valley, it is a beautiful oasis of manicured lawns with a small lake, and more than 1000 plant species of flora from several continents. This will be followed by places like Lam’s Rock, Dolphin Nose Doddabetta Peak and Tea factory. Overnight stay at Ooty.

Day 6:

After breakfast checkout and proceed to Bangalore or Coimbatore to board your train or flight
