Discovered in the woods
Are you game to travel the less treaded path? The playground of the god, as we know or realise, when the visitation of the Mother Nature happens to us in her pristine form that lingers as it is. Explore Dooars – the Terai region that enriches the vast wilderness of India, and an epic proportion of the greater Bengal. However, amidst all the riches of our modern life, it is the plight of the wild India, harks for us and the blessed moment, when we will pay our heed to realise, what she was, and what has become of her in our merciless hand. In the spur of human development, our mindless deeds of chopping of the woods of the Terai region that extends from the upper half of Bengal to the lower Nepal, including the Gangetic plain, is now merely the home of the Indian Elephants and iconic single horned rhinos that once, roamed throughout the Gangetic plain, but now confined in their limited habitat of Gorumara, Jaldapara, and Kaziranga.
Nevertheless, the beating of our trumpet and self-proclaimed pride, started well before the “fall of the woods”. The barbaric entertainment, yet after which we call ourselves humans, destroyed another great wonder of the wild that nature once provided us in bounty. The mesmerizing bio-engineering, ever created in the lap of the Mother Nature – the Cheetahs – were mindlessly hunted down, in the most pervasive fits of lunacy, which we shamelessly exhibited in the name of pomp and glory.
We, as the facility provider of your end-to-end travel needs; humbly aspire you to mingle in the hypnotic ambience of one of the most exotic hill forests in India. With us, embark upon the journey to regain the lost values of Indian teaching and sentiments of realizing the mutual creeds of human, animal, and nature in the most priceless reality of co-existence, the common good that can be bolstered from the conscience of Indian antiquity.
From jungle safari to elephant trail, bird watching to jungle trekking, we are with our best foot ahead, to be your partner in dissolving in the morass of the green vegetation. In the race of our mistaken modernity, very soon, might our distressed mother recoil to her safety, or might rightfully reclaim her place again. All the wild heavens may leave her face soon, or the mankind may pay the toll of this speculation. As we keep living on the edge of assumption, let us pay our visit to our primeval mother with all her due respect, with all our freedom of mind - towards a greener future. Let us visit Dooars and regain our natural sanity once again. Dooars beckon.

Samsing will greet you round the year, with its mild weather with medium to heavy rainfall during monsoon. As you reach Samsing, the winding road ahead will beckon you to explore further and be enraptured in the mystic viridescent of foggy and breezy rainfall on the high mountains, a 4-km drive down to 950 to 650 mt. downhill to meet the thrush-like old world flycatchers and starling birds in the midst of the green cocoon by the orange stream. Suntalikhola will greet you in its scenic world of serene villages. Travel around its pristine nature and parks that dwell with its birds and butterflies, by the Suntaley or orange – Khola or stream, as the amiable Nepali inhabitants of this tea garden mean. Walk through the paddy lands of Faribasti, a small and quiet village, adored for its charming spectacle of flower gardens. Make your trail to the banks of Jaldhaka River, near the Indo-Bhutan border, where resides the humble village of Jhalong, on the way to Bindu. The place can steal your heart with its flocks of hill birds, as the traveling water of Jaldhaka flows quietly. While coming back to your hotel, stop by that small stream that is narrow enough to cross on foot, except during monsoon. Feel the beauty of the nature preserved in her stillness, as the River Murti brooks by your side its hushed flow. As you return to your hotel, have a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 3:
After breakfast, set your best foot ahead to explore the seldom-visited sanctuary, which shelters the 114 sq. km of lush forests and Terai Grasslands along the River Torsa, which is a refuge for 150 odd Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Get out of your comfort zone, and take the lumbering elephant safari to have the best chance to face the single horned rhinos. As you stray a little out towards Birpara, take the road turning left, to follow the streams of Buri Torsa, and enter into the exquisite mysteries and dwellings of leopards in the heart of the green waves of Khairbari Natural Park.
