Escape to the languid waters and tranquil hills covered with blissful greens
As you tread down from the Western Ghats towards the Arabian Sea, with 600 kilometers of Malabar coastlines – Kerala will greet you in her calm morass of vegetation. Tread around the crescent beaches, once a calm cluster of fishing villages. Enjoy your holiday in some of the Kerala’s finest resorts in Kovalam. Mingle in the spirit of the migrating tourists, stroll along the stretch of the Lighthouse Beach, further to the Hawa Beach to the north, a languid haven for the day-trippers heading straight from the taxi stand to the pristine sand. Less than 15km from the capital it is a convenient place to have some fun by the sea, with some promising surf. Escape into the Deep South to cherish the languid drifts of the isolated beaches, with an ancient touch of Ayurvedic rub – all in the blissful stroll of aroma, carried by the spices, and tea from its northern hills. Bid adieu to the cacophony of everyday India, to indulge in the Malabar delicacies, amid its beauty of traditions, woods, and wild.
