Day 2:
Enjoy a full day tour in the ancient cities and citadel of knowledge, Rajgir and Nalanda. Rajgir or Rajgriha, means the home of royalty. 198-Kms away from Gaya, it is one of the most popular tourist places in India. Being located in a valley, Rajgir is a place of great scenic beauty the small hill grit town is covered by lush green forest, which are added delights of this place. Rajgir was the capital of the MagadhMahajanapad (State), when Patliputra was not established. This place has been associate with Lord Buddha and Buddhism. The teachings of Buddha were penned down at Rajgir and it was also, the venue for the first Buddhist council. Today Rajgir has come up as one of the most important pilgrimages of the Buddhist. Rajgir also, has some very beautiful Hindu and Jain Temples, which attract Hindus and Jain to the place. Not only as a place for worship, Rajgir has come up as health and winter resort with its warm water ponds. These ponds are said to contain some medical properties, which help in the cure of many skin disease. The added attraction of Rajgir is the Ropeway, which takes you uphill to the Shanti Stupa and monasteries built by the Japanese devotees on Ratnagiri hill.

Further, explore the ancient University City, situated not far from Gaya, a quick tour to Nalanda involves visiting the ruins of magnificentNalanda University. Founded in the 5th Century BC, Nalanda was one of the world’s greatest universities and an important Buddhist centre until it was attacked by marauding Afghans in the 12th century. An architectural masterpiece, the university was marked by a lofty wall and gate. It has separate compounds and ten temples with many with many meditation halls and classrooms. There were lakes and parks. The library was a nine storied building, where students produced meticulous manuscripts. One of the world’s first residential universities had dormitories for students. It accommodated over 1000 students and 2000 teachers. Today, the once celebrated university stands in ruins but still sheer magnetism of its remaining structure defies time and attracts many from all around the world. Visit the ancient education city and you will be delighted by its grace and grandeur. Tour to Nalanda is definitely a date with history, which is just 103-Kms away from Gaya.

Day 3:
Brace yourself for a full day tour to let happen the visitation of the spirit again, where your state of being will absorb the essence of the enlightenment amongst the rarest of the rare spirit. Vishnupad Temple, dedicated to lord Vishnu, is one of the major highlights of Gaya. Located on the bank of River Falgu, this temple has the footprints of Lord Vishnu, which is 40-Cms long and enclosed by a basin made of silver plates. The temple complex is large in size and houses images of several Gods and Goddesses. In addition, there are several other shrines present in and around the temple. Inside the courtyard of the temple, there is another important temple of Lord Narasimha. The temple, as well as the statue, are intricately carved and designed. On the other hand, the eastern side of this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who resides here in the form of Phalgwisvara. This form of Lord Siva is known as the Lord of the River Falgu. Further, offer your soul to the realm of salvation at the western side of the Mahabodhi Stupa in Bodh Gaya stands the large and historic Bodhi Tree, under which Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment. Inside the temple, in the main sanctum, there is a colossal image of Buddha in a sitting posture touching the earth by his right hand. In this posture, Buddha accomplished the supreme enlightenment. However, amidst the predominately Vaishnavite pilgrimage centre, Gaya, have the vibes of energy in ManglaGauri, the shrine revered in the Padma, Vayu, and Agni Purana. This Shakti temple is one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peetha, where as per the legends, Gaya has been bestowed by the benevolence and nourishment of the mother Goddess, as her breast fell onto this place – making it an Upa-Shakti Peetha, with finely carved ancient relief sculptures, housing the spiritual characters like Shiva, Mahishasura Mardini, Durga and Dakshina Kali.

RESERVATION, CANCELLATION AND OTHER POLICIES
BOOKING, RESERVATION, DEPOSIT: A deposit of 50% of the total price is due with your reservation. Final payments are due before the departure and for a few special trips, 30 days before your trip starts. We also accept bookings from minors; however we do require the signature of either both the parents or the legal guardian on both, reservation form and liability waiver.
CONFIRMATION LETTER: Upon receipt of the reservation form, release of liability form and deposit, you will receive a confirmation by email followed by an information letter with detailed information regarding our contact information, meeting time, departure time.
PAYMENTS: The prices quoted are for payment by cash, draft, wire transfer, cheque or money order. The tour price is payable to ttc Travel And Tourism Corporation Limited, 45 days prior to departure. Failure to pay by that date entitles ttc Travel And Tourism Corporation Limited to cancel your booking without notice and without refund of the deposit. Prices are quoted in Rupees. Foe some special trips, the booking may be up to 2 months before departure.
CANCELLATION: Advance is nonrefundable. Guests can avail the amount within 6 months from the date of cancellation in any of our resort or hotel properties.
HEALTH AND FITNESS REQUIREMENTS: Participants must be in good health and in a good physical condition. It is vital that participants with medical problems make them known to us well before departure. If you suffer from severe muscular, chest, heart or bronchial disorders, or if you are a severe asthmatic, or have high blood pressure, you are strongly advised against participating. Our trips generally take place in remote areas where there is little or no access to normal medical services or hospital facilities for serious problems. Where necessary, evacuation can be prolonged but it is difficult and expensive. Medical and evacuation expense will be the responsibility of the participant.
TRIP /CANCELLATION /EVACUATION INSURANCE: This is highly recommended for purpose of covering cancellations and last minute travel changes. Also, all participants should have internationally accepted health insurance for all activities pertaining to the trip, which should include coverage for emergency rescue and evacuation.
ROUTE CHANGES /POSTPONEMENT OR DELAY: Travel And Tourism Corporation Ltd., may for any reason change the date of departure or conclusion of the tour, or it is possible that a route change, postponement or delay (either in relation to departure or to the duration of the expedition) may become necessary due to inclement weather, snow and ice conditions, political restrictions or any other cause. In the event of a change, postponement or delay, participants have no right to refund of the tour price (in whole or in part) or other compensation for any injury, loss or damage.
PACKAGE PRICES: Package prices are based on ground costs, airfares and exchange rates. Travel And Tourism Corporation Ltd., tries its utmost not to increase tour prices (in full or part), however sometimes increases are outside its control. We reserve the right to amend tour prices (or any part) without notice at any time before and including the departure date. Amendments may be necessitated for many reasons including, but not limited to, exchange rate fluctuations, increased fuel costs, airfares, airport charges etc. Any increase in tour prices must be paid prior to the departure date.
